Oren is an assistant professor at the computer science department at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Prior to that he was postdoctoral fellow in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University where he worked at the Search-based Planning Laboratory with Professor Maxim Likhachev and at the Personal Robotics Lab with Professor Siddhartha Srinivasa.
Oren completed his PhD in the School of Computer Science at Tel Aviv University, under the supervision of Professor Dan Halperin where he worked on algorithmic robot motion planning. He earned his BSc with honors from the Technion and his MSc with honors from Tel Aviv University.
